I’ll compare operational effort, portability, pricing shape, and backup controls using primary sources.

The short list is RDS PostgreSQL for conservative infrastructure control, Neon for scale-to-zero developer workloads, and Supabase when integrated auth and data APIs are useful.

My preliminary recommendation is RDS for the EKS-adjacent workload: it fits the existing AWS boundary and keeps failure modes familiar. I’ve marked pricing assumptions for verification.
